FAQ’s

  • Fly: Phoenix is convenient and affordable.  It’s just over a 2-hour drive to Sedona.

Shuttle: Groome Transportation shuttles to Sedona and back for $63 each way. No car rental needed.

Drive: There will be plenty of parking at the house.

Will I need a vehicle in Sedona?

Yes, if you want to explore the surrounding area while you are there. We will not be able to transport the group.

No, if you want to ride and walk everywhere.  The house is walking distance to downtown Sedona shops and restaurants. We will be riding directly from the house.

  • Yes, we will send out a detailed questionnaire once you register to ensure your dietary needs are taken care of.

  • We have four guides and can split the group up according to fitness and skill. Sedona is challenging. To enjoy this experience, you need to be able to ride for a few hours. We recommend you have advanced beginner skills or above.

    Where might you fit?

    • Shred: You are an experienced racer/MTB enthusiast ready to tackle the best of Sedona, including a range of intermediate to advanced trails.

    • Shred Socially and Safely: You are an advanced beginner mountain biker (or better) ready to explore Sedona trails (2-3 hour routes). You want to develop new skills, meet new people, and build confidence in an encouraging environment.

    • Best of Both Worlds: You want to share the Sedona Dream experience with your special someone (partner, best friend, sibling, adult teenager), and you want an adventure that satisfies each of your needs while creating meaningful overlaps.  This option is designed for you.  Ride together, split up, and share stories at happy hour and dinner later in the day.  You pick the options that best serve you each day.  It’s a win-win!

  • We have a long list of activities including, hiking, shopping, sight seeing and other Sedona offerings for non or new riders.

  • In order to optimize your experience, we will be limiting the retreat to a maximum of 14 riders.

  • You can ride any mountain bike in Sedona but will be more comfortable on a full suspension bike.  Our favorite is a trail bike with 140mm to 150mm. A cross country bike is fine but rougher, and some of our guides will be on XC bikes. A downhill bike is ok but will get pretty heavy as you ride for multiple hours.

  • Yes!  We recommend Thunder Mountain Bikes.

  • We can make basic repairs, but for anything else, you will need to go to the bike shop. We will have a wide range of tools, floor pumps, air compressor, sealant, and a bleed kit. Your bike must be in safe and good working condition when you arrive. Bring your own small tool and plug kit to carry with you on rides. We can help build bikes if you had to ship or fly with your bike.

  • E-bikes are only permitted on dirt roads around Sedona, not singletrack.
